Lab Technician
As a Lab Technician you will provide reliable analyses results and carry out the laboratory calibration and maintenance program to maintain a high product quality.
Main responsibilities:
- Perform, evaluate, and report routine laboratory analyses in a timely manner conform internal laboratory procedures and other quality control systems.;
- Take appropriate action to correct discrepancies found and notify supervisory staff of discrepancies within expected time frames;
- Comply with established laboratory policies for precautions and safety procedures;
- Give clearance to pump and load products based on conducted analyses, legislation and agreed specification;
- Follow established guidelines to block off spec products in either production, stock or truck/vessel loading which are not compliant with specification, legislation, FSCC 22000 and/or GMP+;
- Review and evaluate laboratory procedures;
- Perform trouble shooting on instruments and equipment as appropriate;
- Work in compliance with the established Good Laboratory Practices;
- Facilitate the procurement of laboratory supplies, chemicals, gases and equipment in coordination with other lab technicians and the lab administrative assistant;
- Perform other related duties as required by the supervisory staff.
Who are you?
For this position it is important to have appropriate, professional and relevant experience. Also, you:
- Secondary vocational education level 4 (MLO);
- Pprevious experience with HACCP, GLP, FSCC 22000 is preferred;
- Proficient in English (verbal and in writing);
- Experience with LIMS, Excel.
